Need to decrease stress in life and increase quality rest? Craving 75 minutes of pure stillness and silence for yourself? Needing to release tension, reflect, and simply relax? Do you want to calm your mind? Process emotions? Then yin yoga may be the right thing for you to try.
In Yin Yoga, we hold seated or lying down poses for 3-6 minutes and relax into them using different yoga props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks. On a physical level we access our fascia, increase flexibility, notice where we hold tension in the body and find ways to release it and feel more comfortable in our bodies.
On a mental level, you have space to reflect and decrease mental activity, which results in feeling more calm and centered. On an emotional level yin yoga can help when you go through challenging times and accumulate heavy emotions and increase feeling more accepting…
